My Home

My home is probably just like most people's home, at least on the outside. On the inside it's not just a living room with a fireplace, or a kitchen with an oven, or a bedroom with a bed, or a garage with a car. On the inside it's full of love, joy, laughter and faith. After moving twice and having a house in a different country, I think I like my newest house the most, not just because it's big and has a decent size of land and a forest in the backyard. I feel safe and I feel like my family is always there to support me. I feel like I belong there. Home isn't a place to take for granted. It's a place to make memories, to laugh and to cry and to wake up to a warm meal, a place to paint my future, a place of entertainment, family, friends, lots of love and Christianity. My home is the place where I learned how to play hockey. My dad has always been there to coach me, and to help me when I couldn't lift the puck or when I was not fast enough. Home is different for everybody but I wouldn't change a thing about mine. Even the bad parts, a lot of people don't have homes so I'm very grateful for mine. By: Liam Elliott
