The House Problem

"What home means to me is it’s a place where you can be you," said mom. "But mom, not all of us have a home," said Catherine. "That's right honey, not all people are as fortunate as us. Like your Uncle Fred and your Aunt Josephine, they needed Habitat For Humanity to help afford a home," said mom. "But mom, what is Habitat For Humanity? And why did Uncle Fred and Aunt Josephine need it?" said Catherine. "They lost all their money due to cancer surgery." "That's bad!" said Catherine. "Habitat For Humanity built a home for them when they needed it most!" said mom. "But mom, when did they need it the most? After the surgery? Why didn't we see them for 5 years? I haven't seen Uncle Fred and Aunt Josephine since I was 5 years old! And I'm 10 now!" said Catherine. "That's until today my love, and yes for the surgery. You know what? Let’s call them since you wonder about them so much," mom said. "Dad, mom, where do Uncle Fred and Aunt Josephine live?" said Catherine. "They live in Nova Scotia," said dad. "They're ready now, let's go," said mom. "Uncle Fred! Aunt Josephine! What happened to your house with Habitat For Humanity and stuff?" said Catherine. "Sweety we don't talk about that around Uncle Fred and Aunt Josephine," said mom. "It's fine Cara," said Uncle Fred. "They helped us build a home when we could not afford a house. We are so grateful so we always say thank you. And..." "Wait, Aunt Josephine what happened with the surgery?" said Catherine. "We'll leave that for later, now thank you Habitat For Humanity!" said Aunt Josephine.
