A Home Is Not Just a House
Hi, my name is Era, and I live in a Habitat for Humanity house, and I consider it my own. But did you know a home is more than just a house. A home can be an apartment, a cottage, or any place where you feel truly comfortable and safe. A home isn't defined by its structure, but by the warmth and safety it provides. As I said before Habitat for Humanity built my house, marking a major upgrade from the apartment I had called home for most of my life. This house is the best place I’ve called home in my whole entire life. I'm incredibly grateful to Habitat for Humanity for making it a reality. Without them I don’t know where I would be right now. There are multiple things that prove you live in a home not just a house. In my home, I’m surrounded by a loving family, my four pets and a wonderful community that supports me and cares for me. A home provides things that can’t be bought like love, friendship and support. And if you don’t have those things then you might not be in a place that is truly your home. I am so thankful to Habitat for Humanity for making my house which is now my home.
