A Home

A home is where there are hearts, a place where you feel comfortable, and where you feel like yourself. You have your parents and siblings, and they make you feel happy, warm, and joyful. A home is also a building for human habitation, especially one that is lived in by a family or a small group of people. A house is your place; it feels like a designated area for you. A house provides essential things like food, clothes, and a bed. But a house is where other people live—it does not feel like yours; it feels like someone else's. A home is the place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household. A home is where you feel loved, but a house is where other people feel loved. A house can’t feel like it’s yours, but a home can. A home is where memories are made with your family, where you are loved and blessed with opportunities. A home doesn’t just feel like yours—it is yours. My dad is from Afghanistan, and he wasn’t living in a very big home, but he knew he was still loved. He had a roof over his head and a place where he felt comfortable. A home is where you celebrate with your family, but a house belongs to someone else and their family. In someone else's home, you don't feel as happy, warm, and joyful as you do in your own home. There is no place where you can feel better than at home—it makes you feel cheerful. In a home, you feel different emotions than you do in a house. A home is where you can play with your brother and sister, but in a house, you can’t. There is no better feeling than sleeping in your own home, but in a house, you could stay up the entire night and still know it’s not your home. In a home, there are people you feel comfortable with, but in a house, there are people you don’t feel as comfortable with.
