Meaning of Home

Home to me isn’t just a place you live, it is a place you make memories and friends. When I think of home I see snow falling in my backyard, I see my family and friends, I smell my mom cooking delicious food. I feel at home when I am with my family. My camp ground in the summer has a lot of memories there, I love it there because my cousins have a place there and my aunts and uncles are there too. Home is not an object or a strusher in somewhere you are loved. Home isn't necessarily a house, it could be a park or a street you hang out at or even a restaurant you go to. My hang out place is a park close to my grandma and grampa’s house, when it is warm me and my brother's walk there. Home does not have to be where you are currently living. In my home my dad, mom and my brother’s play board game’s watch movies. How I know I am home because I belong and belonging is the most important thing to me. My home is my community, my friends, my family, my school, they all make me feel like I belong. I like to come to school every day because the teachers are kind and I feel welcomed. I hang out with my friends because they are kind and are there for me when I need them. My community accepts everybody for who they are. When I am at home I am relaxed and calm and know I’m safe because I’m with my family. When I go to my moms parents house we always have pasta. That’s why I know I am at home.
