Home

Home is a place where I feel welcome, where I am loved and where I act like me. Home is where my family is. When I walk in the door, I always smell my favorite foods. Savoury spaghetti. Spicy butter chicken. Juicy mangoes. I walk in the kitchen and see homemade pancakes going on the table with whipped cream and strawberries. Foods that remind me of home. In my home, I have a comfy bed where all my stuffies are surrounding me. They make me feel happy and safe. Home is where I sleep and dream without worries. I go upstairs and read. Home is where my books are. The One and Only Ruby. Harry Potter. Stories that make my house feel like home. As time passes, my mom calls me downstairs. My dad and sister are there too being loud as usual. As I am packing my hockey equipment to leave, these voices are warm and they are what makes this house a home.
