A New Perspective

A New Perspective By Maya El-nakady is currently from Ottawa, Canada Homes should be cozy, and a place full of love. A home has walls, floors, and a roof but many people don't have that. Peace and love are important too. People love their homes. People always have fun and happy memories. But some people don't have those happy memories. My home makes me think of my mom but some people don't share that feeling. When I think of my home I always think of nice homemade meals! But some people don't share that joy. My home feels happy and peaceful and full of love. Let’s look at things from a new perspective. A home isn't just a place with four walls and a roof. People should have happy memories in their homes. When you think of home, what do you think of? Probably something like happiness, hope, love, and a special place or person! But some people think of sadness, loneliness, and eating cold meals. Thankfully, many people, including me, feel happiness, love, and joy when they think of home! Home should be a nice place but sometimes some annoying brothers or sisters steal your homework while you're doing it! Or there might be a grumpy cat that scratches you in your sleep! Or the best feeling in the world is getting home from school to a nice meal made by your mom or dad! Or when you snuggle into your bed and sleep peacefully. Many people don't think of these amazing feelings and things, we sometimes take them for granted. You should feel safe and happy in your home so maybe when you say you hate or don't like something about your home, think about everything that I said. So the main message of this book is that the book Home is not about the money, the furniture or all of those other material things. Home is about the people that are inside. Home is priceless and so are the people who are in it. Home is a lovely place with music, love and joy in the air. Home is something that you should always be grateful for, so whenever you see someone on the street or just in general, who doesn't have a home - think about this - because home is about the people who lift your head high when you are feeling low. Home is about people who polish your flaws and imperfections. It's imperfections it's about laughter and play and movies and games. A house is different from a home. A home is different from a house. Home should not be a place where you feel alone. Home is a place with memories and love where you cannot be worried about money. Home is a special place. A lot of people only get about 20 years in their home, so cherish your home. Make it one of the most important places in your life and if you are older maybe try to visit more often. What does home mean to you? Thank-you.
