The Meaning of Home
When I come home after a long day, all my tension slips away. It's where I don't feel alone. It's where all my memories are made, where I feel safe, and where I can find my way. It has its ups and downs, and it's filled with all our frowns.
To me my home feels safe, loud and cozy. It feels safe because it's a place where I can come to the delightful smell of my parent’s cooking. It smells delicious, tastes good, and I love my parents’ cooking. My home is where my family is happy when I get home, where my family is welcoming to everyone who steps in our home. At times it’s loud because I can hear my sister playing with her toys or watching YouTube on her iPad. Where my brother is raging and yelling at his iPad when he loses in a game. My home is cozy. It is where I can just lay in my bed, tune out and play some video games in my comfortable bed. That's what I think of when I hear the word “home”. Safe, loud, and cozy. That's my home.
