What Home Means To Me
If you grew up thinking house and home have the same meaning, you are wrong.
A home and a house have different meanings. A house is temporary, it's a place you can’t control.
Unlike a home, a house is limited. A house doesn’t make you feel safe, but also doesn’t make you feel in danger.
A house is just a place you can afford. If you buy the right house, you might as well be able to twist it into something made out of your own creativity.
A home is where you feel loved, heard and cared about by family and friends. You can paint this place like a canvas. It’s possible to decorate a home with love and care, Decorate the walls with pictures that bring joy, and Design your home in any kind of way without feeling limited.
In my dining area, we eat delicious food while sharing how our day went. In my bedroom, peaceful dreams fill my head while having a nightime’s rest. In my basement, excitement and play fills the area, making my time there extra special.
But what makes these places special are my amazing family members. They bring tons of love and joy to my life. My home is my happy place, where I can share memories with people I love and care about, and share this happiness with my family. It's a place where anyone can feel belonged. Including you. If you’re living in a house, I hope this story encourages you to create your own home.
