Meaning of home

A home is where I never feel alone. Is where my mom cooks me warm meals. Is where I feel happy. Is where I play with my family. A house is somewhere you could live in. But you don’t have joy. You could have the biggest house in the world but not the biggest love as your home. A home is where I celebrate my birthday. Is where my friends come over. Is where I first started walking. Is where I have good memories. A house could be luxurious. But not full of memories. It could have a pool. But not joy. It could have a beautiful kitchen but not your mom’s warm meals. A home is where you could be yourself. Is where you have no secrets to hide. Is where you get tucked in bed. Is where your mom reads you a bedtime story. Is where I’m consoled when I'm sad.
