What Home Means To Me
My home is my castle, my safe and secure place where I can be myself and feel at peace. My home is where my family and friends join together for special occasions and enjoy delicious meals together. My home is a reminder of how blessed I am to have a roof over my head each and every day. My home protects me from bad weather and other negative things outside. It is a gift from God that I can wake up each morning and go to bed at the end of the day in my own comfortable bed in my room. I am grateful to have a home because I know there are many children who don’t have a home and need one.
My home is filled with many family and friend gatherings where we share delicious food, like baked salmon and garlic mashed potatoes and the sweet taste of fried plantains. The aroma of sweet pumpkin pie baking in the oven creates a warm and welcoming feeling in my home during Thanksgiving. The joyful sounds of my favourite Christmas songs playing while my family and I begin decorating our home, fills my heart with joy and happiness.
My home is where we create special memories like playing our favourite board games together, listening to music and playing the acoustic guitar. My home is a reminder of how blessed I am to have a roof over my head each and every day. I feel safe and secure knowing my home is clean, comfortable and warm. Any time I feel sad, scared or upset, I am comforted knowing I will return to my safe and secure home. My home is a precious gift from God that makes me feel peaceful in the morning and at night.
There are many children around the world who do not have a home, so I thank God for the blessing of a home. My home is my most treasured place in the world. It is where we gather together and create memories that will last forever. My home is where I feel safe and protected. It is where I can be myself and express all my feelings. My home is a special gift from God and I am very grateful to have a home. If I did not have a home, where would I be?
