Where We Belong
When you see you have a house after school, it is not the same as a home. A home is filled with loving family and food. A house is a building with four walls and coldness.
It is nice when you get home after a tiring day into a warm embrace, where various amazing scents of food, linger in the air. It’s fun to have conversations in a room full of togetherness and love, until you can hear the strong heartbeat of the kitchen or your room.
You have conversations wherever you go, side by side symbolizing care and kindness. Wherever you are, comfort with the various smells of aroma. Memories and thoughts go ‘round and ‘round your head, spinning and spinning.
A home is somewhere you belong with your memories and people that care about you with love. But a house is four walls stuck together with emptiness and boredom.
The bedroom, a space where one can be aware of their surroundings. Something comfortable and true, full of relaxation and calmness. Whenever family comes together, they let the butterflies flutter.
The living room is where ideas ignite. Positivity and growth has a place to unfold. A place that memories have a place to hold, a place that families can grow.
Life is a journey, like open doors. The thoughts inside roam the density, everywhere they go, they can alway find their way back home.
Hope and faith is always great but having a home to stay at is even greater. But the word home is truly a feeling and thought of belonging. Not just a cold dark house, a space that thoughts can roam, everyone and anyone deserves a home.
Habitat for humanity, I just want to say thank you for everything you do for people less fortunate.
