The Meaning of Home

Houses could be worth millions, but homes are priceless. The smell of love and care soaring through the air. Having a home is something to be grateful for, to cherish and be proud of. Some people don’t have the luxury of coming home with a sweet aroma of fresh food. Cherish those small moments where you’re eating at the table with your family laughing and talking with glee, because some people don’t even have a table to eat at or food to eat. Try and thank your family for working hard, because without them you would be living next to stones. Don’t confuse a house with a home, because only one has someone waiting for you while you roam. Homes are important, it’s not just a place to live, it’s a place to laugh or cry. It’s a safe place where you and your family can live without the worries of the dark outside world. Don’t be in sorrow just because you have to borrow, be happy because some kids have to take. A house could have everything you could dream, but a home has everything you need. Your dream house could have anything you want, but a home has a family big or small. Some people don’t even have homes to come to, no place to feel safe and secured. No place to love and feel cared for. Children deserve to feel safe. Habitat for Humanity supplies people with not just a house, but a true home that they can feel safe in. It’s truly remarkable that Habitat for Humanity can and do supply people with a second chance. They’re not just donating houses, they’re making kids have a better life. Habitat for Humanity provides people feel safe and secure. Thank you for making children have a better childhood.
