My Home

A house is a structure where you live but a home is where you feel like you belong. A house has walls and a roof while a home is much more crazy and fun. In a home there is joy, laughter and making memories with love ones that you will never want to forget. A house is a bunch of furniture but a home is where you feel welcomed and loved by your family. No home is the same because everyone's beauty shines. A house can slip away easily but a home is a piece of you that can’t be bought. My home is very important and special to me because I grew up in one place my whole life. All my memories like my first words and first steps lay in my home. My home smells like vanilla and cake candles and the delicious food my parents bake. I feel my cozy bed and my warm hugs. I love when my cousin comes over, we sleep in a fort in my basement and I never go to bed. I’m always looking for it because I literally have the best time. I don’t care if i have to share my bathroom with my sister. I’m grateful for even having a roof over my head and if anyone has a home, be grateful because lots of people don’t. Thank you habitat humanity for helping people that don’t have a home.
