Home Vs House

A home isn't just four walls, a floor, and a roof. Home is a place that overflows with love and joy. It's a place where I taste my mom's excellent food that she cooks with tons of love and care, a place where I laugh so hard with my family that my stomach starts to hurt, a place where I see family, friends and pet's, all who love me. For me, home isn't just a place to sleep, eat, and live; it's a place of love, confidence, hope, and kindness, where people build others up with helpful, kind words, not tear them down with hurtful, rude words. A house is very different, though. It is a building, just a place with few memories and maybe no love or kindness. A house might contain hatred, hurtful, rude words, and perhaps not even a place where everyone loves each other. A house and a home are very different. But a house and a home can be in the same building. You could have a fantastic life when you were younger, a family that loves each other, a family that pumps you up, a ton of confidence. You love yourself and your family, an amazing, big house. But as you grow up, your family fights more, the rent goes up, so you have to move into a smaller house, your confidence level decreases, and your family says hurtful things to you. That's why I'm writing this essay. Habitat for Humanity is a fantastic organization that builds houses for people needing one. They help families worldwide have a better, healthier life with a roof over their heads. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for giving homeless people a chance.
