Meaning of Home
Home is not just a house it is a place where you feel comfortable, safe, and free to do what you feel like. This is the five senses on what home means to me.
Home is the taste when I eat my aunt’s delicious homemade tie plates. It is also when I eat my dad’s tasty and sweet carrots from the garden.
Home is when I smell my mom’s delicious and tasty smelling candles. I can also smell the old barn smell when I’m at the stable untacking. I love the smell of my home when my dad cooks my favourite food for dinner – tasty ribs.
Home is when I hear the birds chirping a beautiful song when I open a window. It’s when I step in fresh crunchy snow, and it makes a satisfying sound. It’s also when I hear laughter from my friends when we are having fun splashing in the warm pool on a hot day.
Home is when I step through my door and see my happy dog wagging her tail to greet me at the door. It’s when I see my loving parents when I get home from school.
Finally, home is when I pet my sweet and loving dog’s velvet soft fur coat. It’s also when I pet my favourite horse to ride, Myra’s thick shaggy coat of fur. It’s when I feel my warm soft velvety horse blanket when I go to sleep.
That is what home means to me.
