A Home is More Than a House

A home means family. A house is just a place with people. A home means love and kindness. A home is cozy and warm. A home is a place to share love and happiness. A home is a place to sleep. A home is a place with my sister. A home is a supportive place. A home is an understanding place. A home is a caring place. A home is a place full of kindness. A home is a place of warmth. A home is a place where I can cook food. A house does not have all that. A house is a building. A house can have people and furniture but when there is no love, no kindness, no understanding, no support, and no warmth, then it is not a home. It is a place with people. Sometimes they yell. Sometimes they bully one another. In this house people feel sad alone and hurt. They do not feel loved and supported. It is an unhappy house. Some people don’t have a house at all. Sometimes I see people on the street asking for money. When that happens, I want to help. I want people to have a happy loving home.
