What "Home" Means to Me
This is my home, it’s full of love, I will
explain what it means to me. First of all, home can be with my family. For example, when I play tag or hide and seek with my cousins in my house or in their house. As well as, when my sister is acting very silly in her room sometimes. Also, it can mean when I am in the kitchen with my family preparing food.
Home can also mean when my mom is cooking a hot pot of lentil stew. Or, the aroma of a shrimp curry with a
coconut stew and lots of spices. It can mean when me, my sister, and my cousins make food. Even though it might taste bad, the feelings still make it feel like home.
It also means when I’m at my house feeling safe. Or when I’m playing SORRY with my family. Also, it is when I am exercising with my dad. Or when I watch dramatic movies with my older sister and my mother.
Home can be somewhere where I am safe and warm. Home can be a safe space where I can express my feelings. Home can be a place where I am liberated and free. Home is where I am surrounded by the people that make me happy and comfortable. Home is a feeling or place where hope thrives.
Home is just simply where I feel loved and safe. Home is not necessarily a place. Home is a feeling when you are with the people you love. As well as feeling hopeful and happy. This is what home means to me.
