Home is Where the Heart Is

Home is a place where you can feel safe with your dog sitting next to you watching your favourite show on the TV. Home is where you can learn new things like when your dad teaches you how to make a grilled cheese. Home is a place to make new memories like when you get your first dog or when you lose your first tooth. Home is exciting, like at new years when you have a BIG party or when your friends come over for the first time and you guys do each other's makeup. Home is warm, in the winter when it is minus 21 outside and you are sitting under a heater with a warm cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows shaped like snowflakes. Home is full of people you love sitting at the table playing a card game, eating popcorn, there is laughing, smiling, chatting. Home is welcoming like when you get a new person in your family you welcome them by showing them you love them. Home is quiet when everyone is sleeping at night and you are writing a poem or a note to your brother or sister. Home is soft when you are curled up on the couch watching TV with a really warm blanket. Home is love when you and your family are in your parents bed watching a movie, eating popcorn together, under a warm blanket. A home can be where your heart is and all you adore.
