How Home Feels to Me

If I’m talking about my home, I would have to say that I like to see my culture shown on the walls. It has my Indigenous ribbon dress, my drawings about my culture, and my favorite picture of my Koomsoon, which means ‘Grandpa’ in my language. My best memories in my home are of my cousin and I baking cupcakes.... We BURNED THEM BAHAHAH, and that time when my stepmom said yes to McDonald's! Also, my sister, her name is Ella, she is a good sister. We would play in her room together. My sister pretends to be a chef in a restaurant. My family and I made homemade clay one time. We mixed the ingredients and then created special things; I made a heart out of clay. This was such a fun experience. I enjoy the holiday season, especially Christmas. It’s a time when my family and I eat a big meal together. I love eating mashed potatoes and roast beef! When I think of home, I picture my dog and my cat. Their names are Buddy (dog) and Stevey (Cat). I love it when my cat sleeps with me, and my dog plays fetch with me in the living room These memories explain why home is important to me.
