My home
This essay is about what the word home means to me. When I hear the word home I think of shelter, games, and dogs barking.
I think of shelter because there is a roof, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and water. I said roof for shelter because if you have a roof, you can stay warm and dry. I said kitchen for shelter because you can make good food. I said bedrooms for sleeping in comfort and bathrooms for urinating privately. I said water for shelter because you have fresh drinking and cleaning water, so you do not risk getting sick from drinking dirty lake water.
I think of games because you get to have fun, spend time with your family and friends, and stay fit. I said have fun because you get to play sports like basketball, ball hockey, soccer, and baseball. I said family and friends because you get to play games and spend time with them. I said stay fit because you burn your energy and exercise.
I think of dogs barking because dogs bark for many reasons at home. Dogs bark when we get mail from the mail carrier and especially Amazon. Dogs bark when chasing animals like squirrels who steal walnuts. Dogs bark when the bunnies run across the lawn and when birds fly around.
That is what the word home means to me. All the words I said are essential, except dogs barking, unless there is a robber.
