My Home is My Everything

My home is a place where I’m loved and comfortable, I don’t need to hide under a table. It’s where I eat and dream, But family is all I need. When I walk upstairs into my bedroom, It's where my thoughts and dreams can come true. When I sleep I fly high and high, But when I wake up I say goodbye. Even if I have to wake up, There’s still more ahead of me even though I’m stuck. Nothing can hold me back from my home, Not in the hot and in the cold. Even if it’s one of a kind, I love my home so much it’s always on my mind. There’s so much space to have fun, Whenever my friends are here we have space to run. Even if it’s tiny, The structure it has is really mighty. It doesn't matter what people think, It’s more than just a tiny blink. Even if sometimes it’s hard, We just need my family and cards, Most of the time my brother and I fight, But when we don’t we play games we like. My mom always takes care of my family, But no matter what she’s always happy. Even if my dad wakes up at four, When I see him he lights up with joy and more. My family loves me no matter what, Even if we don’t have much. Even if my home’s falling apart, We just need our hopeful hearts. Even if it’s not a perfect home, It’s better than being alone. My home is the best place in the world, But family makes me so happy I dance and twirl. My home is my everything and that’s no lie, Just like my family so I’ll never say goodbye.
