Azura’s Question About the Meaning of Home

There was a little girl named Azura. She wondered what is the meaning of home so she asked her mom what the meaning of home is. Azura's mom says “the meaning of home is spending time with your family.” Azura says “ok mom now im going to ask dad.” She goes to her dad. “Hey dad, do you know what the meaning of home is?” “ Yes, the meaning of home is having a roof over your head.” She thanked her dad and wondered why their answers were so different. She thought she would ask someone else. She saw her older sister. “Hey sister, do you know the meaning of home?” Her sister thought for a moment. “Hmm the meaning of home is always having your family by your side every day”. She goes to ask her neighbour outside. “Hi Katie! Do you know what the meaning of home is?” Katie thought for a moment. “Yes the meaning of home is always having a loved one”. Azura thanked Katie and continued walking. She paused by a tree and took out her phone. She wanted to ask one more person. She sent a text to her best friend Mia. Mia responded saying that the meaning of home is having memories together with your family. Azura smiled at her friend’s answer. She goes to her home with all of these ideas running around in her head. She walks to her room and sits on the edge of her bed thinking about all of the answers she got to her big question. She thought to herself “Everyone had different answers. What is the meaning of home to me?” She laid her head down on her pillow and closed her eyes. Before she knew she was asleep. When she woke she knew her answer. She knew that they were all right. The meaning of home is having a safe place to be with your loved ones and create memories together. Azura felt happy that she had all those meanings in her home and she went to go and find her family to give them a great big hug. The End
