My meaning of home

The Meaning of Home What is home? Is it where you spend your night? Or is it a place that you go to escape? Or is it just a place with a roof over your head? It's none of the above. It is a place you go for safety, where you are your best self. If you ask my sister she might say her play area, if you ask my mom, she might say it's her desk in our house. If you ask me, it's my room. If I'm tired, mad, stressed, or even happy, it's where I go to escape, or have fun, or just lay there and think about my day. I spend half my life there. My shelves on the wall are full of memories and chapters of my life. A large painting of my dog, Wally, is perched on the wall, looking at something far away, watching over me every night, I’d gaze wistfully at his portrait and drift off into a peaceful sleep, free of worries. The meaning of home is different for everyone. If you don't have a place you call home then usually you feel out of place. But if you have people you love then that is also home.
