What Home Means To Me

Home is a place where you can have shelter. I'm very grateful to have a home because most people don't have a home to stay safe. To me, home means a place where I can rest and stay warm. Home was and is the place where I was raised and will continue to be my childhood home until I graduate. Another thing about my home is its comfort. I love the feeling of coming back home after a long day at school and taking off my backpack and resting in my favourite spot. I feel safe in my home because I know I can be myself without having to worry about anything, unless I have to finish my homework. My home is also full of memories like birthdays, movie nights or just calling my friends and playing games with them. I'll remember all those things for as long as I can. Even on bad days, for example, I got into an argument at school, I can still enjoy home with my family. I also love grabbing my favorite blanket and having my tablet and watching the rain pour outside and enjoying the sound of the rain knowing that I'm safe. At school, i have to follow rules and sit through 7 hours of school with my back hurting in the end but at home, i can wear whatever i want and do whatever i want and actually go on my phone. Home is a place where I can be myself without having to pretend to be someone else. To me, home isn't just a place where I sleep, it's a place where I feel safe, loved and cared for. No matter where life takes me, I will always love the sense and feeling of home.
