Meaning of a Home
There's a small town in Ontario, and there are a lot of people spotted everywhere who are setting up tents, sleeping in tents, and even sleeping on park benches. This has become such an issue that the park benches were taken out because people would leave there items, some of those items were sharp.
But why are there people sleeping in tents, setting up tents and sleeping on park benches? Some people think they're camping just for fun. well no their camping because they don't have a home. Some people may not have a home because of drugs, sometimes because they couldn't get a good paying job, or maybe even sometimes they just didn't want to work which could have gotten them evicted from their home.
As of 2025 most young adults are having financial issues and therefore get kicked out of their homes. The reason for this is because a lot of these people have just gotten out of university or are still in university. Nowadays university can be super expensive.
But what really looks like a stable home? Some homes could be big and decorative. Some could be small but just a good size. But what isn't a stable home is really a shed, sometimes even a tent. What a stable family home is, a home that has running water, heat, electricity, air conditioning, food on the table.
Some kids go to school without lunch, some even live across town or far away from the school and hate to walk every morning because they don't have a car. There are people that move from state to state, province to province, even country to country. Some people have to move because their town or neighborhood isn't safe.
That's what a real home is like, and how people might not have one.
