That Time in May
Home is a feeling never new
Even if you are blinded by screams
Or there are rips in the seams
The people there will always love me and you
At times you will cry
But no matter what ,
there always there for you
You just need to try
And you will realize, the love is there too
Some days you might only see red
Or other days your vision will blur
And they say JUST GO TO BED
And then they talk about you in a murmur
Hearing them say rude things might sting
You might want to run away
It will feel like an annoying ring
But just remember that time in May
Where there was laughter and smiles
The days that felt longer
The time you could run for miles
They days that you would cry over an ice cream cone
That was the real kid, your real self that you locked away
And after remembering
You might just remember where you are: home
Don't just leave, there's always a way
