The Truth Behind Home

My home is not a building, but it is a province, an animal and a person. My home is Newfoundland. My home is my cat (Ziggy). My home is my mom. My home is Newfoundland. Newfoundland is surrounded by the ocean. The salty taste in the air, the clear water slowly crossing the beach and the sound of the seagulls above me, is like getting the biggest and warmest hug. I have a little thing I keep with me at night to help me fall asleep and it will make sounds of the ocean and every time I go to the beach the sound of the waves puts me right to sleep. Newfoundland is a place to go to if your stress is taking over. Newfoundland is my home. My cat (Ziggy) is my home. Ziggy is a walking ball of fluff that purrs, but she is still my home. She always walks in the room with motivation. She knows how to make you feel better just by putting her beans (paws) on your lap. She may be old and small, but she will make you feel better by a simple “Meow!” She putts the purr in purr-fect. Ziggy is my home. My mom is home. She knows how to help with stress, sadness and anger. When I am stressed about something that is too hard for me, she help me finish it. I love her with all my heart! I don’t know what else to say about my mom because there is nothing I can say to describe her love for me and my whole family. My mom is my home. “Home” is a word that is used to describe a household but it is more than that. You must always remember the true meaning, value and purpose behind the word “Home.” My home is Newfoundland, my cat, Ziggy, and my mom.
