My Treasure Chest

Home is like a treasure chest, with each room holding a different treasure in it. Treasures that money can’t buy. My kitchen holds the treasure of me and my mom baking cupcakes topped with sweet icing and sprinkles. It's where I learned how to crack an egg, pour sugar, and flip pancakes. I love my kitchen. My living room holds the treasure of me and my parents cuddling up and watching movies with buttery popcorn and salty chips. I love my living room. My room holds the treasure of me playing with my dogs and hanging out with my friends. It’s like my secret place where I can get away from the rest of the world. I love my room. My backyard holds the treasure of me and my dad playing volleyball. We laughed. It felt awesome. I love my backyard. I am so thankful for my home, and I am also thankful for Habitat for Humanity for making homes for others too.
