Home Isn't Just a Place
Home isn't just the place where I live, eat, sleep, and shelter from the weather. Some people just think a home is just a house or a building, but I think it's a place to feel all the emotions: sad, happy, calm, and more. It's a place to be free, and play, laugh, talk, and think. A house is a structure, building, walls, roof, doors, and windows. A house is a place that people live in, but a home... A home is a special place where you can make, cherish, and remember special memories and moments. It's a place to do whatever you want to do, hang out with friends, family, and pets!
If I didn't have a home I would be so sad. There would be nowhere to make, cherish, and remember special memories and moments, to have fun with friends, family, and pets. Ther would be nowhere to watch a movie on Friday movie night. I wouldn't have anywhere to sleep, to eat, and make the food I would eat. It would be awful! That's why I always have empathy when I see someone who doesn't have a home. That's why I will never take my home for granted and I will always be grateful for it.
In my home I can hear my fish tank filter bubbling, my dog liking her paws, and my dad in the kitchen. I can feel my dog's soft fur, the pages in my book, and the soft blanket on the couch. I can taste fresh berries from the backyard. I can smell dinner cooking, and fresh flowers. I love my home for all the things that have happened inside and outside of it and for all its comfort that it gives me.
