What Home Means To Me
Home to me is safety, a place where the world's pressure fades like a calm breeze. It is where your heart is free, and your soul can breathe,
Home to me is peace, a place where you can softly let your guard down, and your mind is at ease.
Home to me is serenity, a quiet place free from rage and anger.
Home to me is where I make memories, some of which last a lifetime, memories that time can't erase.
Home to me is stability, a lighthouse that shines amidst deep fog.
But one thing I do know is that the tide and fog will clear, and the sky will be blue and clear. For me, within the walls of my home, my family has only grown closer in laughter, joy, and happiness.
Despite this, I know somewhere, on this vast, beautiful earth, even in this cold city, there are people without a safe place to live this winter.
I make this poem in tribute to them.
So that they may stand on their feet and find their foundation in their lives. And that all starts with a Home.
