What Home Is
Home is a blessing. Home is the smell of a warm meal after a long day and the steam of a hot shower that washes the
stress away. It's a shield for me. Home is just not a building, it's a place to connect and to come together as family, and we can play at home and I am grateful to have a house. For some people ‘’home’’ for them is just a cold sidewalk that's empty because I know that home is a blessing. Home can be anything, School is a second home for me I can communicate with my friends.. You can also gain knowledge from home, like when my parents sit with me to explain a math problem. That's not just a lesson, It's a moment of love. The real meaning of home is Connection. We can do so many things at home, in a neighborhood. Connection is key. You can find friends even if you don't have any. It gives you shelter, Everybody belongs at home no matter your identity. Because connection is the key that unlocks everything. It's where strangers become friends. The difference between house and home is a lot different. A house is built by machines and tools, but a home is built by memories and spirits. It doesn't matter what mistakes you made in the past or your identity, you belong here. I'm writing this because home is my foundation. It’s what keeps my body safe and my mind strong. A house might eventually crumble, but the feeling of ‘’home’’ will live inside me forever and never leave. They say a house is built with hammers and nails, but I believe a home is built with heartbeats. That is what home to me.
