Home Isn’t Always Just a Building or a Structure

Home isn’t just a building; it’s a place where you feel safe and where you know that you are loved. To me, home is a bowling alley or at the slo-pitch baseball diamonds, where my dad plays baseball every summer or at my dad's or mom's house. If a home were just a building, it wouldn't be as fun as a home with the people that you love inside of it. To me, home isn’t always necessarily a structure or a building, it can sometimes be the outdoors, like when I'm watching my dad play baseball, or just in my backyard playing with my two dogs. But when home is a structure, it would be St. James Lanes Bowling Alley in Winnipeg. The reason the structure would be a bowling alley is because bowling calms me down when I'm upset or worked up about something. When I'm at my dad's house, I feel safe and loved and I feel like I belong there. At my dad's house, we play a lot of games together like Yahtzee and Mario Kart. At my mom's house, I have a little sister, and we play together every day, and we also have two dogs at my mom's house, and I love playing with them. At my mom's house we have a lot of fun and do a lot of enjoyable things like quadding and snowmobiling. That all being said, home isn’t always just a building to me, it's sometimes the outdoors or a special someone's house like my grandma's house or at my dad's house or my mom's house, or even a special place like a bowling alley.
