HOME

My home is a safe space that makes me feel happy. Home is happy because while I watch a show my two cats cuddle up beside me or in my lap. When they purr I feel safe and my heart feels warm inside. A home doesn’t necessarily have to be a place it can be family and people. People that make you happy, people that you love, and people you make lifelong memories with. The sad, funny and weird memories that I will always remember in my heart. To me home is a place where you can exhale without explaining yourself. To wind down watch a show, movie or read a book. A familiar smell or your favourite meal can instantly bring you back to your comforting sense of home. My home smells like a freshly baked batch of warm chocolate chip cookies. My home is like a sandwich with layers of love, kindness and new experiences. Home is not just a building it’s a place I will always remember and cherish forever on. I am beyond grateful to have a safe space to grow up in!
