Home Isn't Just a Place

Home isn't just a place. It is where I feel safe and cared for. It is also a place where I can pour out my emotions with the people I trust the most. When I get home from school, I can hear my dad fixing something in the shop. I can also hear my moms gentle voice calling my name. At nighttime, I can hear my cute little sister giggling as she jumps on pillows with my little brother. In the yard I can run around. I feel so free and I feel the wind rushing past me. Sometimes in the summertime I sit around a fire with my family and roast marshmallows. At bedtime, my mom tucks me in and I feel so warm and cozy as I fall asleep in my soft bed. A well built home also keeps you safe. To me a home would not be the same without my family who makes it special.
