Meaning of Home
To me, home is a thoughtful and a meaningful place, where I feel like I belong. I feel loved and understood. Home is a place where many lovely memories are made and shared. I feel most comfortable in my cozy place. Whenever I step in my house, I can feel the warmth and essence of home. I can smell the scent of the delicious home-cooked meal that my mom is preparing for the family. I think about how much my family has done to me, and how dearly they love me. I realise, if I didn’t have a home, I wouldn’t feel most of this. I am so thankful that Habitat for Humanity is helping people, and even saving lives, because now, other people can feel the joy and happiness of having a home. I feel safe and secure knowing that I have a loving and a caring place to live in, but it makes me upset that not everyone can feel and experience having a home. Not everyone has a place to live in, a bed to sleep in, and a plate to eat from. I am grateful for having a roof over me, because many don’t even know what home is, and what it means. Home isn’t just a structure; it’s the place we feel connected to.
