Home is Not a Building
Home is where my family is; it is not in a building. When I walk in the door, I smell the candle while my brother speeds ahead and grabs the ukulele while I go to my room. He plays me a song so soothing and great it feels so calm like I’m on the beach. Then we close our eyes and we sit together. My family gathers to watch our favourite show together as comfy as a pea in a pod. We cheer on each other during tough times. We’ll drive from place to place together. We’ll celebrate and gather and have a lot of fun. Together, family is one. As I said before, home is not a building. Home is where I can let out feelings. Home is a safe place where family comes together to fix problems big and small. Memories are in the paintings in the hall, the dishes in the sink, and the movie room downstairs. Home is not a building, but the memories made inside make it feel like home.
