Home is Where the Heart is

A house is a building made from concrete bricks and wooden slabs. A house is a place you fall into hours rest and wake up with the sun creeping into the blinds. Even with inviting furniture that deck the halls, a house is far from a home. The meaning of home is different for everybody, home could be a place, a certain scent, family and friends, but for me, a home is not a setting–but something that makes me feel safe, comforted and validated. Everybody deserves a home, and everybody will eventually find a home where they should feel as safe as a rich person during the purge. Whenever you can’t find yourself, when you feel lost and feel like you can’t seem to find a home, remember that home is where the heart is, where you find yourself going back to for comfort. If you’re ever feeling homeless, know that you still always have a home that you’re yet to find. Whether a place, a food, a person or something else–trust your heart, because home is where the heart is.
