Why, I Love My Home

Dear contest judges, My name is Liam Boucock and I’m here to tell you how I feel about my home and how everybody should have a home of their own. A home can be anything you like from being cared for by your family to being loved by your pets. For me it’s both. I believe everyone should have the same feeling I have when I walk through the door and smell a lovely supper that my parents made just for my brothers and I. When I go home, I’m greeted by both my dogs and my parents. when I go home, I get to play with my brothers. When I go home, I get to skate on the rink my dad made for as long as I want. I love my home because just down the road I can play with my friends. That is why my home is so important to me. When I go home, I feel safe because I know that when I go to sleep, I don’t have to worry about anyone who would hurt me because my parents would protect me. I know that my dogs would alert me when anyone pulled up in my driveway that I don’t know. I know that our neighbors will help us if we ever have a problem. I know I will always feel safe at my home. I always feel comfortable at my home because my parents always have the thermostat set to a good temperature, so I don’t get to hot or cold. I feel comfortable because I have furniture that’s nice and soft and when I get home from school it feels like I’m sitting on a cloud. Those are lots of reasons that I feel my home is the best one I could ever ask for. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity and the company that’s donating all this money. I feel good to know that even if I don’t win, I’m still contributing ten dollars to help someone in need. Good luck and hope you guys raise a lot of money.
