My House is not a House

My house is not a house, it is a home That is why I am writing this poem Everyone’s home is unique Whether it is old or whether it is chic There are many types of homes, big and small But nobody’s home is just four walls Home is a place filled with love And where memories are made Where you spend time with family And where food is homemade I am incredibly lucky For every opportunity For having a home for shelter And for having a great community I am also incredibly lucky For my safety, and for my freedom For my friends, and my family Like my dad and my mom God blessed me with my home For a place to stay To enjoy life with my family Day after day
