“Home,the place where you belong”
Home is the place where you belong. What does it mean to you? For me, a house is made of walls and beams, but a home is made of love and dreams.
My past home was full of laughter and enclosed friends with a very supportive family. Each corner held memories, from the smell of my mother's cooking drifting through the kitchen to the sound of my siblings' laughter echoing in the living room. My family and I left that place. I called home to go to a foreign country because of my dad’s work.
My present home today is still full of laughter as well as enclosed friends with very supportive parents; nonetheless, I left my first school in a foreign country a year ago, including my best friends, but now we have an excellent home filled with warmth emanating through the window. Now I have a new school with great and friendly teachers, including great classmates, along with some fabulous friends.
In the near future, I hope to get a home like my past and present home, filled with warmth emanating through the window and surrounded by friends that care for me and the smell of my mother's cooking drifting through the kitchen to the sound of my siblings' laughter echoing in the living room.
The main idea is that home is everywhere for me; it might not be for you, but for me, it's perfect if I have my family and friends that are trustworthy at my side during the hardest time of my life, because that's home for me. Even in a foreign country, I felt at home like home is more than a set of walls. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for your hard work and commitment to it. You've helped to make a better nation.
