My Bright Home

Home and house don’t mean the same thing. There are differences between them. In a home, it feels like it’s your place to be living in, you feel comfortable and you belong there. You might have pictures around your home of your family or special vacations. Your friend might be living in the same neighborhood as you. Maybe there’s someone you play with across your home, or on the same street as you. Your home feels safe and secured, you trust it. You don’t feel those things in a house. A house is just a building, structure or place you don’t know about. You’re not sure if it’s safe, you don’t know your neighbors, and you don’t know where everything is. It doesn’t feel like it’s where you belong. There might not be things that you like. When I moved from my apartment to my new home, it was a house at that time. I didn’t know my neighbors, my new school, and I didn’t know my way around the neighborhood. We bought lots of furniture and after about 3 months, the house started to feel like a home. I made lots of new friends, they were really nice! I was getting used to the way around the neighborhood and even got to know some neighbors! Everyone was so bright, it was peaceful and safe. Home sweet home!
