Home Sweet Home

Have you ever felt at home or felt the love of home? Well I have and everybody deserves to have that feeling. Home provides a sense of safety, a sense of belonging and a place to make and keep memories. First, home is a sense of safety. Safety is where you feel safe and secure. You can also feel safe when you can have comfort without worrying. It is when you can trust people around you safely. Also, you know people are there for you when you need something. Safety is when you know no one can harm you. Next, home is also a sense of belonging. Belonging is where you can be yourself. It is where you feel like you are loved and you have the feeling of warmth. Your family is also there with you. You feel like you belong. There is nothing that you don’t have that others have. Finally, home is a place where we can make and keep memories. You can make very special memories, and embarrassing ones, but, all of them are memories. Memories are filled with love, sadness, comfort and kindness. We should treasure our memories. Some people don’t have a structure to feel safe in, to feel like they belong, or to have memories in, and we take it for granted. That is why we should always remember to appreciate that we have homes. Some people live on the street and Habitat for Humanity gives them a structure to feel at home in.
