What does home mean to you?

I’m honestly grateful for a shelter to call home. The memories and comfort from my home makes me feel safe. My belongings like my special dog plushie I got from IKEA are important to me. I’ve had him since I was 4 and I named him Mulu. Mulu was one of the most important things I cherished when I was growing up. I would bring him everywhere, like the park, my room, vacations and my mom would have to wash the dirt and grime off him. I still have the toy and it's on my bed because when I sleep with it, it gives me this comforting feeling that makes me feel like I’m at home. The memories that I’ve gotten from this “house” were all mostly from my loving family. One of my favourite memories is with my older brother. We used to have a lot of lego that our mom bought for us and we used them to make structures and people like a civilization. We would pretend to have some sort of conflict as the lego person we were playing as and I would end up winning the conflict. There’s also this spot in my room like a mini closet. Although, I made it into some sort of small little hideout and put blankets, pillows, and some things to do like a drawing pad and some mini posters I made myself in there too! I really hope my family don’t really have to move since I’ve basically grown up in Mississauga and I’ve kind of felt safe staying here rather than going to other places which make me feel uneasy. Overall, I love my home.
