The Meaning Of My Home
How do you feel when you see a homeless person on the street? I see homeless people on the street and there's this person who never wants anything from anyone. When I see him I feel grateful for the home I have. He doesn’t have a family to eat dinner with every night, He may not have a family to spend holidays with. That's why I’m thankful for my family and that we spend time together.
Something I like about my home is family dinners, especially our Jewish tradition Friday night Shabbat dinner. We eat all kinds of food. We have salad as an appetiser. My grandpa usually cooks all of our meals.
Another thing I like about my home is holidays, especially Hanukkah and Halloween. Hanukkah is a holiday celebrated by jewish people. We light candles for eight nights. We get gifts every night of Hanukkah. Halloween is my favourite holiday because me and my friends will dress up and get candy.
Family is important to me. I have a lot of family but the ones I spend the most time with are my mom, my dad, my sister, my grandpa, and my uncle. My grandpa is old and drives me to school every day. Next my dad. We do lots of things together like skiing and bike riding. Next is my sister. I wanted a sister the first 5 years of my life but it wasn't worth it. My mom is someone I always wanna shop with. She has amazing style. Now my uncle. The thing he loves most is me.
Now you have finished my essay, I want to remind you, some people don’t have a family to spend time with. When you go home, find out what home means to you.
