My Home
My Home
Written by: Max Kang Ogaki
My home is a place where I can be myself, a place where I can sleep, where I can eat and where I can feel loved and respected.
My home is not a bunch of bricks and wood, it’s filled with love and memories of the people who I love. Like when I first learned how to ride my bike or the first time I walked. Those are all memories that happen in my house.
Homes can be different or the same, but all homes are beautiful in their own way. Some are small, some are big, but homes are all quirky in their own way.
In my home, when I get home I smell the comforting smell of dinner that my mom made, it’s like smelling the ocean.
My home is my happy place, not just me, my family. My home keeps me company in my dark hours or times I don’t feel right.
When I go to bed it feels like I’m in paradise, it’s like I’m at the beach and the sand is on my toes and a cool breeze is blowing in my face.
Sometimes on Mondays I am grumpy, and I feel like I need to go back to sleep, but when I do get up I feel grateful for the roof and shelter that I have.
